Pickup Procedures & FAQs

When can I pick up my order?

All pick up orders will be received via curbside pickup at the Nature Museum. You'll arrive at the Nature Museum, you'll receive your order, and you'll be on your way.

Our goal is to make this as simple for you as possible.

For Plants for Pollinators items:

All orders must be picked up on Saturday, June 1, from 10am-3pm, at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Pickups will take place rain or shine. If you are unable to pick up your order on this date please have another individual pick up for you. That individual will need to know and provide the email address used for the order. Unfortunately we are unable to “hold” any plant orders that are not picked up on June 1.

For Museum Store items:

Upon purchasing you may choose from a selection of pick-up times throughout the week and weekend. The museum is open seven days a week, 10am-4pm. You may show up any time during museum operating hours to pick up your order.

How will curbside pickup work?

For Plants for Pollinators purchases:

You will receive an email closer to the pick up date with further instructions on how to pick up your purchase in our Receiving Lot.

After you park, please wait in your car. A staff member will come over to your car and, while maintaining a safe distance, will ask you for the name and email for your order. After getting your information, our staff will retrieve your order and bring them to your car. We can either load them into your car for you or help you put your items in your car.

If you are walking, biking, or arriving via public transit, please go to the Receiving Lot and check in with a museum staff member. We will assist you with your order there.

For Museum Store purchases:

Place your order today through our online store. All payments are managed online when you place your order and you will receive a confirmation email.

Prior to pickup, you will receive a reminder at the email address you provide for the order.

We will prepare all orders ahead of time, so no matter when you arrive, your order will be ready.

When you arrive, you will go to the entrance of the Museum and ring the bell, someone will answer and meet you to hand off the order. You can park temporarily in the bus turn around with your hazard lights on.
